Newry City Councillor Valerie Harte has said that those who ransacked and robbed a home in the Flagstaff Court area of Newry cared nothing about the trauma and hurt they were causing to their victims.
The local Councillor said “I have been contacted by a resident of Flagstaff Court in Newry, who came home this evening to find her home ransacked. The burglary happened between 5.45pm and 8.20pm and a sum of money was taken”.
Councillor Harte continued “Again we see an attack on our community and have a young family traumatised by this unscrupulous act. Those involved in these criminal acts care nothing about the trauma and hurt they were causing to their victims. They must be apprehended and face the full rigours of the law”.
Cllr Harte concluded “Please make sure your properties are secured and stay vigilant. if anyone has any information regarding this most recent please contact the Police.
