Former President Mary McAleese visited Veritas in Newry last month to sign copies of her latest book. In her first book since departing Aras An Uachtarain Mary has published 'Quo Vadis? : Collegiality In The Code Of Canon Law'.
The book addresses how Vatican II's teachings on collegiality, or how power and responsibility were to be shared either between the Pope and the college of bishops within the Cathiolic Church and how it has still not come to fruition.
The event was extremely well attended by many local residents who were still as keen as ever to meet and have a chat with one of our regions most famous residents.
There are still several signed copies of the book available to purchase at Veritas, Newry which is located at 40-41 The Mall, Newry.
