Next Tuesday 7 December will see the latest hearing aid clinic held at Crossmaglen Community Centre. The clinic will run from 11am to 1pm.
The Community Centre is at 41 Cardinal O’Fiaich Square, Crossmaglen BT35 9HQ and the service is provided by the RNID.
“We can provide new batteries, cleaning and retubing of ear moulds for NHS hearing aids,” the charity explained.
Measures have been introduced to take account of Covid-19 and to keep everyone safe.
It will be a drop off and pick up service – with social distancing in place.
“Hearing aids must be placed in a labelled envelope, with name and contact details,” the charity added.
“They will be collected at the entrance and brought inside for maintenance.
“Users can wait in their car or return later to collect hearing aids.”
Hearing aids can be dropped off by friends or family members.
The support sessions in Crossmaglen take place every other month. Following the session on Tuesday 7 December another session will be held on Tuesday 15 February.
