Write a commentThe beautiful landscape of the Ring of Gullion will be showcased to a world wide audience this year via a free 2015 Calendar with no doubt many people sending on to their nearest and dearest across the world.
The photographs were picked from the entrees in the Ring of Gullion Photograph Competition 2014 and range from images of Ballykeel Portal Tomb to Derrymore House in Bessbrook. They showcase some of the more well known landscapes in the Ring of Gullion such as Camlough Lake but also introduce members of the public to lesser know areas such as Cashel Lough.
Therese Hamill, Ring of Gullion Officer said “I would like to thank our sponsors Newry and Mourne District Council, Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Mille Fiori Ltd.”
Therese added “The calendar is free and is available at the Winter Solstice Events between Friday 19th December and Monday 22nd December, the Ring of Gullion Office in Crossmaglen and the Visitor Information Point in Slieve Gullion Forest Park and Newry.”
Next year’s competition will open from the 15th January and will run until September. All this year’s photographs entered can be viewed on the Ring of Gullion Website.
