Write a commentDown Right Brilliant, Newry and Mourne Down Syndrome Support Group are one of five finalists in The 2017 Big Lottery People's Projects and are in with the chance to win £50,000 for their group.
The group works with children and young adults with Down’s Syndrome.. The aim to set up a Youth Club for Children with Down Syndrome, to run a Summer Scheme and expand their weekly Speech, Drama and Numicon classes. The project will offer activities that the young people will help decide on including dance, circus skills, football and outings. The activities will reduce isolation, build friendships and give the young people a place to call their own where they can go and have fun.
