Crotlieve Independent candidate Mark Gibbons has added his name to the nominations for the May Local Government Elections in Newry, Mourne and Down.
Speaking about his time as a Councillor Gibbons said "Serving you for four years as your local Councillor has been an absolute honour and privilege.
"At times it was a baptism of fire but I have tackled every issue with the resolve, passion and honesty it deserves, with a desire to help everyone and offer a safe harbour to anyone in need. 'How we walk with the broken speaks louder than how we sit with the great.'
"I lead from the front on local initiatives by working with hardworking political parties and Independents on Council. To help this wonderful district reach its full potential I actively encourage working together and supporting each other in the Council Chamber. The days of division are behind us and our full potential is ahead of us. I have worked tirelessly to tap into that potential since you gave me this job in 2019. I work for you."
