A chilly daily dip back in January in Carlingford Lough by friends Caroline Anderson and Gillian Fitzpatrick as well as a Camino challenge has resulted in over £3000 being presented to PIPS Hope and Support in Newry. The women's 'Dip for PIPS' encouraged others to join them on their daily freeze and indeed many did over the course of the month braving the icy waters at Sandy Bottom in Warrenpoint.
Their incredible effort aimed to raise awareness for PIPS Hope and Support, as well as to fundraise for Caroline's recent Camino challenge, which astonishingly generated £3,016.
The funds raised will help PIPS Hope and Support provide immediate help and signposting to anyone with suicidal thoughts, high levels of anxiety, poor mental health, or bereaved by suicide.
PIPS Hope and Support have extended their heartfelt gratitude to Caroline and Gillian for their dedication and commitment.
