I was at the scene earlier today with South Down MLA Karen McKevitt and we were deeply concerned over the amount of incidents over the past year. It is the worst nightmare of any parent for such an awful event to occur and I wish to express my deepest condolences to the young child’s family. I know the local community will rally around them at this awful time to provide every support they may need.”
