If your eyesight has moved on but your glasses haven't now is the time to declutter your life. Maybe you live in one of those homes where old pairs of glasses are found in drawers here there and everywhere, now is the time to gather them all up and donate them to the 'Recycle for Sight' campaign.
Gordons Chemists have partnered with Banbridge Lions Club for their Recycle for Sight Campaign. This initiative is designed to collect used eyeglasses and cases from the public and recycle them to benefit individuals with visual impairments in various developing countries, where access to proper eyewear and eye care facilities may be limited or unavailable..
All kinds of spectacles can be donated including cheap reading glasses. The project is also keen to receive children’s spectacles and any unwanted glass cases.
So get rummaging through all your drawers and drop off all your unwanted glasses at Gordons Chemist in Sugar Island in Newry or your nearest branch of Gordons. By doing so, you will be helping those in need and reducing waste to landfill!
