A new Media Partnership was launched on Valentines Day between the Southern Area Hospice and Q Radio Network.
Love was most definitely in the air at the launch of the new media partnership between Southern Area Hospice and Q Radio Network’s radio stations, Q100.5 & Q106FM, which took place in the Hospice Daycareunit on Valentines Day with an excited outside broadcast.
Presented by local personality Big O, the outside broadcast kicks off a year long partnership between the Southern Area Hospice and Q100.5 and Q106, giving Southern Area Hospice the opportunity to build awareness of current services and fundraising initiatives in the very areas covered by the Hospice. The partnership will provide the Southern Area Hospice with an ideal platform to communicate with the local communities within which they work and at whom the services are targeted.

Speaking at the Valentine’s Day outside Broadcast, Rachel Quinn, Fundraising Events Officer with Southern Area Hospice said; “We are hugely excited to work with Q Radio to promote the full calendar of events, activities and campaigns that we have running throughout 2012. It will also be an excellent opportunity for us to reach out to the local community in delivering vital information on the services that we have to offer.
I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of all the staff, volunteers and patients at the Southern Area Hospice to sincerely thank Q Radio Network for the generous sponsorship throughout 2012 partnership. In this difficult time of economic downturn, support such as this from a local business is truly invaluable to the Hospice, and is therefore very much appreciated”.
Speaking about the partnership, Q Radio Network’s Managing Director, Robert Walshe said; “Q Radio is delighted to become Southern Area Hospice’s media partner for 2012. The Hospice carries out invaluable work in the Southern Health Board Area, supporting and caring for people living in the area and we are delighted to be able to raise awareness of that work through our Q100.5 and Q106 radio stations. The emphasis on ‘local’ has been at the very heart of our re-brand and the new sound of Q Radio and so it is fitting that we are now working with and supporting the Southern Area Hospice which is such a well-recognised local organisation that means a lot to the local community.”
