James McCaffery (Evora staff member), Vanessa Morton (Evora Hospice Staff Nurse) and Peter Murray (Buttercrane Centre manager) launch the 2025 Evora Hospice Care raffle.

Evora Hospice (formerly Southern Area Hospice) has launched its popular annual Car Raffle, giving one lucky winner the chance to drive away in a brand-new Renault Clio Evolution- all while helping raise much-needed funds for local hospice care.

The draw, which will take place this November, is one of the Hospice’s largest and most vital fundraising events. This year, it is proudly supported by Shelbourne Motors and Buttercrane Shopping Centre.

Each year, Evora Hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients and their families across Counties Armagh, Down and Tyrone. The cost of delivering these services in 2025 will total £6 million, with £4 million needing to be raised through fundraising efforts such as the Car Raffle.

Last year, money raised through the Car Raffle helped deliver that care. It provided comfort to families during the most difficult of times. By entering this year’s draw, you will be helping even more local people to receive the support they need.

Speaking at the Car Raffle launch, James McCaffrey, Senior Fundraiser at Evora Hospice, said: “On behalf of Evora Hospice, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Shelbourne Motors and Buttercrane Shopping Centre for their support.”

He added, “The annual Car Raffle is one of our most important campaigns. Thanks to the generous support from local people, this campaign helps fund Hospice care, making a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families. I would encourage everyone to take part- you could win a fantastic new car, and you will also be helping fund vital Hospice care in our community.”

Ronan Marshall from Shelbourne Motors, who have been supporting the raffle since 2019, added: “At Shelbourne Motors we are delighted to be supporting the Hospice Car Raffle campaign again. We look forward to inviting the lucky winner to our Newry dealership later this year and handing them the keys to their brand-new Renault Clio.

“We would like to wish everyone the best of luck and encourage support for this campaign, which helps raise vital funds for the Hospice.”

Peter Murray, Buttercrane Shopping Centre Manager, added: “We are happy to support Hospice again in their car raffle as we have done annually for many years.”

Raffle tickets will be sold daily from a Hospice stand in Buttercrane Shopping Centre in Newry and the Oaks Shopping Centre in Dungannon, as well as other local venues in Armagh, Portadown and Lurgan.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to support the Hospice and become the proud owner of a stunning Renault Clio this November.
To purchase your ticket simply visit participating venues, visit the hospice website at www.evorahospice.org or call the Hospice on 028 302 67711 (Monday – Sunday 9am – 8pm) to enter the raffle over the phone.
