The very special Light Up a Life event at Southern Area Hospice Services will now be a virtual event with the outdoor event being cancelled.
In a statement a Hospice representative said "It has not been an easy decision as this event means so much to so many people, but after careful consideration of the latest guidance and the emergent changing situation, they must remain focused on keeping the Inpatient Unit operational which means doing everything they can to keep patients and staff safe and so the decision was made to run this event virtually again this year. "
The Hospice would love for you to share a special message to remember your loved one, by dedicating a light on their virtual Christmas tree. This is not just for those families that have experienced the care of Hospice, but for the entire community and anyone that would like to make a special tribute to a loved one.
You can dedicate a light on virtual Christmas tree, add a photo and leave a special message by visiting the website WWW.SOUTHERNAREAHOSPICESERVICES.ORG or on the Southern Area Hospice Facebook page or give them a call on 028 3026 7711.
The virtual event will be available on Facebook and You Tube on Thursday 9th December at 8.00pm and they hope people will join them - albeit virtually.
