Newry and Armagh MP Dáire Hughes, has welcomed news from the Department of Infrastructure that they will resurface Meadowbrook Park in Newry within this financial year.
Mr Hughes said: “My colleagues Liz Kimmins MLA, Cllr. Declan Murphy and I have been lobbying for a number of years for this much-needed resurfacing work, and have held meetings on site with residents and officials to demonstrate the dire need for improvements.
“This week Road Service have confirmed that resurfacing for Meadowbrook Park is likely to happen within this financial year, as resources become available.
“This will be welcome news for residents who have had to put up with substandard roads for too long already."
