Write a commentButtercrane certainly was a busy place on Valentines night when around 700 fans turned up to get up close and personal with 2019 Love Island winner and Irish Rugby pro player Greg O’Shea.
Limerick born Greg won series 5 of the show with Amber Gill.
Greg was joined by Newry native, social media influencer, author and fitness blogger Maeve Madden.
He spent over an hour meeting every fan waiting in Buttercrane, taking selfies, signing everything from body parts to parental consent forms and even school diaries!
Greg O’Shea plays professional rugby 7’s and is part of the Irish squad who are hopeful of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo next Summer.
Greg also recently appeared as a presenter on RTE’s 2FM and will be co-hosting a new TV chat show for Virgin Media called ‘The Late Tackle’. This will air on Thursday nights for the next 6 weeks to coincide with the Six Nations Rugby Championship.
