Well over two million has been raised for Southern Area Hospice since John Dalzell started his annual Christmas sit-out 33 years ago.
This year John Dalzell OBE raised an incredible £116,000 during the ten days of his Christmas sit-out at Marcus Square in December 2024.
If you were in Hill Street over the festive period you couldn't have missed his iconic trailer collecting donations for Southern Area Hospice. John is very aware of the team effort it took to raise such a massive amount and he extended his thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make this year’s sit-out such a success, with a special mention to his Fiveways and Damolly Retail Park collection teams.
