For the 21st consecutive year Southern Area Hospice is participating in the VHI Women's Dublin Mini Marathon in June and organisers are calling on women of all fitness levels to join "Team Hospice" for a fun and impactful day out.
The event, a 10k walk, jog, or run takes place on Sunday 1 June. It offers participants the chance to raise vital funds for their local hospice while enjoying a day filled with celebration and camaraderie. Whether you plan to run, jog, walk, or even dance your way to the finish line, this 10k event is designed to be an inclusive event for women of all ages and abilities.
“Team Hospice” is hoping to recruit 50 women to take part in this special event. Participants will not only experience one of Dublin’s most vibrant and enjoyable events, but also help raise essential funds to support the vital services provided by Southern Area Hospice.
Each participant will be rewarded with a celebratory medal upon crossing the finish line, making this a truly memorable experience.
Speaking on behalf of the hospice, Aisling Hickey, Fundraising Officer, said: "We are thrilled to be part of this fantastic event for the 21st year. We encourage women to come together with family, friends, and colleagues to support this important cause. Don’t delay—sign up and join me on the day!”
With only 50 spots available, Southern Area Hospice encourages participants to secure their place quickly. The registration fee is £30.50, which includes race entry and transportation to and from Dublin, a t-shirt and a goody bag! Participants are also asked to raise a minimum of £150 in sponsorship as part of their challenge.
