Deborah commented "I’m delighted to be back organising another Towpath Walk this year.  This event has generated hundreds of thousands of pounds for our local Hospice over the last 30 years and I am hoping this year to be no different.  I look forward to welcoming all familiar and new faces as we fundraise & walk together in aid of our local Hospice services to raise much needed funds."

Like previous years the walk commences from the Basin Walk carpark, continuing out along the Newry towpath as far as Steenson’s Bridge and back again, with walkers receiving some refreshments at the halfway point for a short rest before turning to head back to the Cue Cub. Free parking is available at the starting point at the Basin Walk carpark on this day.  All walkers must pre-register if they would like to take part, as there will be no registration on the day.

Registration for this event is free, we only ask that each person who registers, if they can raise a minimum of £30 for this fantastic event. In return for your great efforts, each walker will receive a finishing Towpath Walk medal, which has been kindly sponsored again this year by Around Noon.

You can register online now via our events calendar at www.southernareahospiceservices.org or phone Fundraising Officer SAHS Laura Rowntree on 028 3026 7711.
