The local Newry Kumon Maths and English Centre at Altnaveigh House is currently enrolling for 2013 students. There is a 'free assessment' available where your child will be assessed to determine the right level for them to start on the Kumon programme.
They will attend the centre once or twice a week, usually for between 20 – 40 minutes. They will get feedback on their progress and will also have daily worksheets to complete at home.
The work is individually set at a pace that is suited to each student's ability and they are carefully monitored to ensure the work is right for them at all times. If necessary, a level can be repeated until it is mastered before moving on to the next. Kumon works on long-term goals and targets with incentives, motivation and praise to help your child attain their potential.
