Man Charged following Camlough Incidents

Police investigating a report of a person acting suspiciously in the Camlough area, near Newry, on Sunday night (28 June) have a charged a 25-year-old man. 

He is charged with criminal damage, interference with vehicles and driving-related offences, and is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 30 June.

Slieve Gullion Councillor Oonagh Magennis urged residents in the Camlough area to be vigilant following the incidents. "I would urge residents to continue to be vigilant and ensure that their properties are kept secure at all times.

If anyone notices any type of suspicious activities they should report it to the Police immediately”.
