Newry & Armagh MLA Justin McNulty has condemned the attack on the Newry Sinn Féin office this morning.
Police discovered a viable device at the party's office in Monaghan Street. The office is used by Newry and Armagh MP Dáire Hughes and Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins.
Mr McNulty said: “I am shocked and appalled at the news that a bomb was left at Sinn Féin’s office on Monaghan Street.
“Those responsible are to be condemned.
“Violence and intimidation have absolutely no place in our society.”
Police have appealed to the public for any information surrounding the incident.
