A range of free events have taken place at Slieve Gullion to mark Men's Health Week (14-18 June).

Events included on-line taster fitness sessions, online seminars and the distribution of health information packs.
Slieve Gullion District Electoral Area (DEA) worked with a range of agencies to raise awareness and encourage men in the area to look after their physical and mental health.

The key message of the campaign was ‘Check-In, Check-Up, and Check It Out’ and focused on raising awareness with men of all ages to check in with themselves about their mental and physical health, encouraging them to book regular check-ups with their GP’s, and to check out the range of health services that can support them in their area.
The events were organised in partnership with SureStart South Armagh, Slieve Gullion DEA, Clanrye Group, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s Health and In-equalities Department, the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and PIPS Hope and Support.
