A mini health fayre is taking place in Newry on Tuesday 29 March. The event is being organised by Clanrye Group, a member of the newly operational Verve Newry and Mourne project.
The event will be held at Altnaveigh House 29 of March from 9am to 11am for the local community to avail of.
Visitors will be able to take advantage of a mini health check carried out by trained Health Trainers. Checks include a full body composition analysis, blood pressure reading and explanation, and information on where to get the right care.
There will also be information stands from Aware NI, Spring Social Prescribing, Disability Action, Chest Heart and Stroke, the Promoting Wellbeing Division, the Rural Community Network and more.
The Verve Newry and Mourne project is funded by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and the Southern Healthy Living Centre Alliance and co-ordinated by Clanrye Group. There are 13 members of the Verve Newry and Mourne whose purpose is to communicate, share information and work together for the benefit of the communities we serve. The Network members also have Health Trainers out working in our communities who provide a 12 week 1-2-1 coaching service to help you meet your individual health goals.
