Morocco Trek participants raise incredible £161,000 for Hospice

A massive cheque for £161,173.00 was presented to the Southern Area Hospice recently following the Hospice's Trek Morocco Challenge which took place back in September 2024.

The three day trek saw the group of 35 intrepid trekkers hike through the Atlas Mountains summiting the 4167 metre Mount Toubkal.

Hospice Fundraising Officer, James McCaffrey said, “We can’t thank this group enough for raising such significant funds for our Hospice, and for completing such a tough challenge in Morocco. Well done everyone” .

A special award was presented to Gerard Boyle, who has now completed 10 Southern Area Hospice treks.
