At the end of April over 300 young people aged 13 to 18 participated in a very successful Mourne Mountain Adventure Challenge.
In teams of four or six, young people were given the challenging task of navigating their way through the Mourne Mountains whilst completing a number of stimulating tasks. The groups finished up in Silent Valley and enjoyed an afternoon of fun packed activities including archery, clay pigeon shooting and a thrill ride on the RIBS at Kilkeel Harbour.

Speaking at the event, Cllr Naomi Bailie said, "Congratulations to all the groups who took part and to the multi-agencies who partnered together to run and deliver this event. It has been a great success and I'm positive the event achieved its aim of showing young people positive ways of spending their time and preventing them from engaging in anti-social behaviour."
