Councillor David Taylor has condemned the latest desecration of poppy wreaths at the site of the Narrow Water bombing. Several wreaths were torn apart at Narrow Water, Warrenpoint.

Councillor Taylor commented “I am absolutely sickened by this latest incident of desecration of poppy wreaths placed at the site of the Narrow Water bombing.
“This incident is one in a long line of many at this location and it is all the more poignant that this latest attack has happened as we approach Remembrance weekend.
“This appalling attack will only serve to further compound the pain of the loved ones of the service personnel who lost their lives at Narrow Water and this hate crime should be condemned by all right thinking people.”
“The individuals who perpetrated this hate crime have nothing to offer to any civilised society and I would appeal to anyone with information to pass it to the PSNI immediately.”
