Work has started in Meigh on the installation of a Multi Use Games Area Pitch in Meigh.
The commencement of work at the facility has been welcomed by Newry City Councillor Cathal King. Cllr King said “The delivery of a MUGA pitch will be a great boost for local residents.
“This investment will see a first class space for a number of different sports made available in the heart of the village.
“The MUGA pitch is a key part of a bigger project for the revitalisation of Meigh."
“I want to extend my thanks and congratulations to the local residents and business owners who have worked closely with us on this project so far."
Cllr King says he looks forward to continuing working for all in Meigh to help deliver more projects to improve the village for the whole community.
