The annual CO3 Leadership Awards last week saw quite a few Newry based charities and social enterprises recognised. The Awards held in the Europa in Belfast celebrate outstanding leadership across the third sector in Northern Ireland.
Bolster Community were 'Highly Commended' for their work with Women's TEC in the 'Team Up and Save the Day' Category.
Eileen Murphy, CEO Women's Aid Armagh Down (WAAD) was Highly Commended in the main award of the evening, the 'Inspiring Leader' award for her 20 years of dedication leading Women's Aid Armagh Down.
Colleen Tinnelly Dowdall received an award for 'Leading Organisational Change' in her role with the USPCA while Eamonn Connolly, Manager of Newry BID was Highly Commended in a hotly contested category 'Trustee of the Year' for his work as a Trustee of Bolster Community.
