Newry Cathedral Parish are hosting several guided tours of the beautiful Cathedral over the summer. The 90 minute tours will hear the history of the building of the Cathedral between 1825 and 1829, and of the later extensions. You will also hear the history of its stained glass, marble altars, sculptures and magnificent mosaics.
The Cathedral of Saint Patrick and Saint Colman is in the See of Dromore. The building was designed by one of Newry's great architects Thomas Duff and was built from local granite.
Each tour will take around 90 minutes and they are completely free.
