The Old Mill Restaurant in the Canal Court Hotel takes our award this year. Even though the Canal Court and the Restaurant is established over a decade it still packs a mighty punch with the combination of top notch quality food and an ambience that is very easy to relax in. Even when the restaurant is full it doesn't feel as if there in anyone in there apart from yourself.
The starters of Goats Cheese Tartlet with caramelised onions and the French Onion soup really present a dilemma from the word go as both are so beautiful.
Any new arrivals in town will have to achieve the standard on offer here if they are to stay at the top.
