When an Orangeman comes over to you and shakes your hand at the 12th Parade in Newry and tells you that he remembers you taking a photograph of a cow of his that had three calves twenty five years ago, you know what a massive impact your photography has had on the world at large .... or else you think your'e too long in the business! I'll settle for the impact idea.
Newry had one of the largest Twelfth of July Parades in years today with thousands of Orangemen parading and many bands on the march.
The Parade started on the Belfast Road and marched along Trevor Hill, into Kildare Street and round by the Town Hall and back again.
Lodges from Banbridge, Rathfriland, Loughbrickland, Gilford and beyond were represented and the sun shone throughout.
