Visitors can explore over 55 local tourism experiences, ranging from golf and outdoor adventures to unique cultural experiences and artisan foods. This is a chance to discover the hidden gems waiting to be explored in your own district. The event also offers pay-as-you-go taster experiences, allowing you to try out exciting activities offered by local Tourism businesses. With a wide selection of food and drink stalls, you can indulge in the finest local delicacies and refreshing drinks while enjoying a day of fun activities designed for all ages.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Pete Byrne said, “The Hidden Gems at Home Tourism Showcase Event will feature a variety of local tourism businesses showcasing their unique offerings. Outdoor adventure enthusiasts can learn more about experiences from Mourne Geotours, Red Kite Tours NI, Bike Mourne, Walk the Mournes, Geology Rocks Adventure, Sustainable Journeys Ireland, Mourne Mountain Adventures, Mourne Shack Limited, Finnebrogue Woods, Tumbling Paddy - ‘The Story of Newry Walking Tour’, Bloody Bridge Backpackers, Kilkeel Golf Club, Oceanauts Diving, Warrenpoint and Kilkeel Golf Clubs and East Coast Adventure Ltd.

For those seeking unique experiences and wellness, Xhale, Mourne Hot Barrel Sauna, Kinedale Donkeys, Legends of Lecale, Whodunit Hunts, and Volunteer Now will be offering a glimpse into their specialised activities. Food lovers can savour local delights from Mrs C’s Home Kitchen, NearyNógs Chocolate, Killowen Distillery, FEAST, and Mourne Food Adventures.
