The 2024 County Armagh People of the Year Awards are open for nominations. You have got until this Friday to let organisers know the person or group you think would be worthy award recipients. You can also vote for those already nominated by members of the public.
The Awards Ceremony takes place in Armagh on Saturday 30 November where 12 finalists, people and/or groups from throughout the County will receive a specially commissioned award in recognition of their achievements, contribution to society or obstacles they have overcome, which has made them an Armagh person/group to be proud of. In addition to their individual award, on the night one of the 12 will have the honour of being crowned the 2024 County Armagh Person of the Year and will be presented with the overall award, sponsored by Cordelias.
Many people and groups have already been nominated but if you know that someone special or that organisation that contributes so much to their area you can add them to the list of nominees.

As with the 2023 event that saw Marie Morgan, Keady, take the title of County Armagh Person of the Year, organisers have announced a percentage of the tickets for the County Armagh People of the Year Awards Gala Ball, which cost £70 each, will be given complimentary (on a lottery basis) to the nominees and also to front line workers.
With this generosity in mind, they are calling on all businesses and organisations throughout the county to consider sponsoring a ticket for a nominee or a front line worker.
The black tie gala ball takes place at the Armagh City Hotel, Saturday 30 November. Tickets can be bought individually at £70 each or a table for 10 at £700. To purchase or book tickets call 07599124888 or email armaghawards@gmail.com. Tickets are also available at Cordelias Newry Road Takeaway Armagh. Tel: 07566744600.
