Omeath District Development are urging local residents to have their say about Road Safety in Omeath as part of a comprehensive speed limit review that's being undertaken County wide by Louth County Council.
Concerns expressed by the group include the volume of traffic, current speed especially early morning, evenings, weekends etc, volume of walkers, cyclists, community use in area (school, pre school, football club, businesses) and current national increase in road fatalities and car accidents.
You have until 12 noon on Tuesday 12 September to have your say.
The Council are welcoming submissions from residents and businesses in relation to their concerns.
If you have a concern about road safety and speed limits or traffic calming measures in the area, you can make a submission to Anne Kieran by email to akieran@louthcoco.ie by 12 noon on Tuesday 12th September.
