Parking arrangements in place for Seamus Mallon's Funeral

Police have announced parking restrictions in Markethill tomorrow for the funeral of Seamus Mallon. The funeral cortege will leave his late home at Markethill at 11am for 12 noon Requiem Mass at St James' Church, Mullaghbrack. Many thousands are expected to turn out including President Higgins and the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar

The public is advised to expect traffic disruption from 9:30am until 3pm tomorrow (Monday, 27th January) .

A stretch of the Mullaghbrack Road, from Gosford Road to Mullurg Road, will have traffic restrictions in place to facilitate the funeral.

Anyone attending the funeral is asked to arrive early and to approach St James Church from the Markethill side.
