Playr-Fit recently hosted their annual Business 5s Football Tournament, raising an impressive £6,838.92 for local suicide prevention and mental health charity, PIPS Hope and Support. Playr-Fit has proudly supported PIPS as their charity partner for the past three years, and in that time, now that the charity partnership has come to an end, they have raised over £15,500, making a significant contribution to the charity's work in the local community.

The tournament took place over two Fridays and saw a fantastic turnout, with several local businesses participating. Each team received bespoke jerseys designed by Playr-Fit, adding a personal touch to this fun and competitive event.

Darren McPolin, Playr-Fit’s Marketing Executive, expressed his pride in the event, stating, "We are thrilled with the continued support from the local business community for our annual Business 5s Tournament. It's inspiring to see so many people come together to raise vital funds and awareness for PIPS Hope and Support, a cause close to all of our hearts. At Playr-Fit, we have been truly honoured to partner with PIPS Hope and Support, and it’s a privilege to contribute to the crucial work they do in suicide prevention and mental health support. Supporting local charities and giving back to our community has always been at the core of what we stand for as a business. We remain fully committed to continuing this support and going forward, we will support other important causes within our local community."

Padraig Harte, PIPS Hope and Support’s Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications Manager, also shared his gratitude for Playr-Fit's ongoing partnership. “We cannot thank Playr-Fit enough for their massive support over the past few years. They have gone above and beyond, not only raising significant funds but also helping to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention through supporting our many events and the clothing they provided. This level of dedication is crucial to the work we do, and we are incredibly grateful. Their unwavering commitment has allowed us to support more people in crisis, provide essential intervention services, and expand our outreach to communities.

"Playr-Fit's support isn't just financial—it’s a partnership built on shared values and a common goal of making our community a safer, more supportive place for everyone. Their willingness to step up time and again shows a genuine compassion for the people we serve. We are fortunate to have them by our side, and their contributions have made a real, tangible impact on the lives of many we support.”

The funds raised will go directly towards PIPS Hope and Support’s vital crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, helping individuals and families in the local community during their most difficult times.
