Police in Newry are appealing for information after a man was reported to have received serious facial injuries in an assault at Kiln Street in the city last Wednesday 20 November.
A report was received in the early hours of Wednesday morning, shortly after 1.20am that a man, aged in his 60’s, had been attacked by an unknown male and had sustained serious facial injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Police are continuing with their inquiries and officers are asking anyone with any information, or who was in the area and captured dash-cam or CCTV footage which could assist with their investigation, to contact them at Ardmore on 101, quoting reference number 49 20/11/24.
