Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Newry City at the weekend.
The assault took place on Saturday, 1 October and speaking of the incident Detective Sergeant McCarragher said: “At approximately 1.15am, CCTV footage recorded a man being attacked in the John Mitchel Place area of the city.”
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, have any information in relation to it or who may have any relevant footage that could help detectives with our investigation, to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 1566 03/10/22.”
