Celebrations by members of the PSNI of Armagh winning the All Ireland final are being investigated by the PSNI!
In a move which was wholeheartedly welcomed by many on social media, a PSNI car was seen in a video driving around the village of Camlough last evening with siren blaring an Armagh flag flying from it, to much tooting and cheering from bystanders. It follows Armagh's welcome win at Croke Park earlier in the day, only the second time the County has won the All Ireland.
In a short statement the District Commander for Newry, Mourne and Down, Superintendent Norman Haslett, said "We are aware of footage circulating on social media of our officers, driving Police Service of Northern Ireland vehicles, taking part in celebrations following Armagh winning the All-Ireland final.
“We have commenced an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding this."
