Detectives have been granted a 36 hour extension by a court in relation to a 50 year old woman arrested in connection with the death of a man in Newry on Saturday 28th June.
The man, aged in his 40s, died after sustaining a serious injury in the Fisher Park area of the city. Police had responded to a report that a man had sustained serious injuries just before 1pm on Saturday.
Emergency services responded and the man received medical treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital though tragically he died from his injuries some hours later.
