Officers from the PSNI Organised Crime Branch have seized nine vehicles during two searches in the Kilkeel and Newry areas on Wednesday, 26 January. A batch of suspected counterfeit alcohol and high value watches were also seized.
Detective Inspector McCamley said: "Today we have seized nine vehicles worth approximately £155,000, as part of a proactive Nationwide investigation into Organised Crime led by the National Crime Agency.
"We also seized a number of high value watches and 234 bottles of suspected counterfeit vodka.
"Organised Crime Groups remain a priority for the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Organised Crime Unit. They have no place in our society; all they are interested in is the exploitation of others, making vast sums of money out of the abject misery and devastation caused to people’s lives.
