A large parade is due to take place in Newry on Friday 19 April. The route will take participants along Belfast Road to Downshire Road then along Church Avenue, Windsor Hill, Sandys Street, back onto Downshire Road for dispersal at the Orange Hall.
The Annual Band Parade organised by the Loyal Sons Of Benagh Flute Band could see up to 71 bands taking part with over 3000 participants. The host band will lay wreath at Newry PSNI station to mark the 30th anniversary of 23 year old Gregory Pollocks' murder on 20/04/94 in Derry.
Traffic will be impacted from around 7pm until 10pm and diversions will be in place for the duration. The carpark of Newry High School will be open for parking. A police spokesperson said "Both participants and members of the public should display respect for the local area by behaving in a respectful manner and following any advice given by police."
