In a rare display of unity local many political parties have joined forces to highlight the horrors of puppy farming.
The USPCA (Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) called on the parties to show their support for a call for regulation of the Puppy Farming Industry.

The call comes on the back of a hard hitting ‘on the move ad’ campaign launched by the USPCA to make the public aware of the tragic consequences of buying a puppy online and the recent television documentary ‘The Dog Factory.’
Representatives of the Green Party, SDLP, Workers Party, DUP and Sinn Fein and independents travelled to the USPCA Animal Hospital in Newry to show their support.
