Mother of three Noleen Hawkins is running her Little Waves Hypnobirthing Course in Poyntzpass on Sunday 19 October, a course that aims to assist expectant mothers to use techniques to stay calm and confident.
Hawkins explains "When I was pregnant with my first, I was honestly terrified of the actual giving birth part. I worried so much about what might happen on the day and whether I’d be able to cope. Discovering hypnobirthing completely changed that for me. It gave me tools and techniques I could use throughout pregnancy and on the day itself — it took away so much of the fear and made the whole experience calmer, more positive, and even enjoyable."
During the day course, parents-to-be learn how their bodies work during labour, and how to use breathing and relaxation techniques to stay calm and confident. The course also covers different birth places and options, so families can make informed choices about what feels right for them.
The full day group course is relaxed, friendly, and packed with practical tools for breathing, mindset, and confidence to help parents feel more in control and supported.
