Prime Minister Boris Johnston has announced that cafes, pubs and restaurants should close from tonight Friday.
They can continue to provide a take away service. In Newry many venues made that decision on Monday and have already closed for the forseeable future.
The move is the latest government decision to tackle the coronavirus crisis.
In his daily briefing today Boris Johnston said Nightclubs, theatres, gyms, cinemas and leisure centres have also been asked to close tonight.
