Kay McCullough, Admin Supervisor for Southern Area Hospice (SAH), is taking part in a 15,000ft skydive in May to raise essential funds for the Hospice.
Kay from Kilkeel, turns 50 this year and wanted to mark the occasion by doing something challenging while also raising money for a charity so personal to her. The skydive will take place on Saturday 25th May in Garvagh outside Coleraine, with Kay completing her jump along with other brave participants who are all raising funds for SAH.
‘Skydive for Hospice’ has become an annual event for SAH and last year raised an amazing £75,000 for local Hospice care, which benefited so many local people and their families.
Kay, who has the support of her Hospice colleagues, said “My mother-in-law was cared for by my wonderful colleagues in the Hospice and was looked after so well. Every day I come to work I see for myself the difference Hospice care makes to local families and how grateful they are for the care and support they receive. So, when I saw the skydive advertised, I thought it would be a great way to make my 50th year even more memorable and raise money for a charity that is so close to my heart.”
