The winners of this years’ Ring of Gullion Photography Competition joined Mayor Michael Ruane in the Quays Shopping Centre to receive their prizes.
The Council would like to give a huge thank you to this year’s sponsors, Jumping Clay, The Ulster Wildlife Trust and Grounded.
Mayor Michael Ruane presented the prizes to the winner Alan Hopps and the other 5 prize winners Tony Stephens, Ciaran McDonald, Arlene Crummy, John Hutton and Briege Roe.
The Ring of Gullion held their annual Photography Competition with the theme of “Our Heritage”. The entries included photographs of the great buildings, historical sites in the area and photos of the outstanding wildlife. There were over 35 entries and picking a winner was very difficult.
Therese Hamill, Ring of Gullion Officer said, “Many thanks to everyone who took part. The six winning pictures perfectly reflect this year’s theme; “Our Heritage” in the Ring of Gullion. We would also like to thank Quay’s Shopping Centre for the use of a unit to display the photographs.”
