Author and award winning journalists Peter Snow and Steve Vogel spent the weekend in Rostrevor as they gave addresses at the 3 day conference on the life and career of Major General Ross.

The US Consul General Gregory Burton was in the audience of 400 delegates over the weekend.

As part of the event delegates took a tour of the village including Ross Monument and the key speakers addresses were streamed live across the internet.

The conference, entitled ‘Personalities and Pivotal Moments in the Napoleonic Wars and War of 1812’, was supported by Peace III Southern Partnership under the ‘Future Foundations’ priority funded through the European Union’s PEACE III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body, Newry and Mourne District Council and the Ulster Scots Agency.
