January shows a really stunning morning picture of Murlough nature reserve in Newcastle, a destination with plenty to offer the whole family, including one of the finest beaches in County Down. It is an excellent area for walking and bird watching due to its spectacular location at the edge of Dundrum Bay, with panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains, sweeping down to the sea with the winter snow on the summit of the Slieve Donard.
June captures Castlewellan Maze and the Mournes in one photo. The world’s second largest permanent hedge maze was designed to commemorate the peace and reconciliation efforts of N.I. in the past century. The walled Annesley garden, arboretum and stunning victorian castle within the park are beautiful with caravanning, camping facilities and a great park for the children.
The November Picture shows the Flagstaff Viewpoint, one of the most famous beauty spots in Ireland with breathtaking views.
