Section of Old Dublin Road closed this evening as police return to fatal collision scene

Part of the Old Dublin Road outside Newry will be closed this evening, 28 April,  as police return to the scene of a fatal collision back in January this year.

Police are investigating the fatal rtc which took place on the Old Dublin Road, Cloghogue, on 2nd January 2023.

The Old Dublin Road between the Upper Fathom Road and Lower Newtown Road, incorporating the Clontigora Road, will be closed to all traffic from 8.00pm. The closure will last for a number of hours. Access will be facilitated for emergency vehicles and local residents.

The scene testing is part of the investigation into a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in the early morning of 2nd January resulting in a man dying from his injuries.
