The PSNI have closed of a large stretch of the Newry to Omeath Road due to an ongoing security alert tonight.
The road is closed at Drumalane on the northern side and from Davy's Pub on the Omeath Road. It is believed that the alert is because of a white van sitting on the left hand side of the road just past Davy's pub.
